Instructor Note – Choreo Adjustment for Safety
In the video below, you'll see a section from Adelène’s choreography that includes a quick squat-to-hinge transition. While dynamic, this movement can be risky for many participants—especially when performed at tempo—due to the strain it can place on the lower back.
To make this section safer and more inclusive for your class, we recommend one of the following options:
Option 1: Replace the hinge with a rise-to-tiptoe (squat-to-tiptoe) for a functional and accessible power move.
Option 2: Try a plyo squat (squat to light plyo jump) for those wanting intensity with control.
Option 3: Offer a slower squat performed at half-time to give participants more space to move confidently and safely.
Remember, Partyfit is about joy, safety, and inclusivity. Adapting moves to serve your class is not just okay—it’s what makes you an incredible instructor.
